______patronus,
his memory is the day he was able to show his older brother his letter to Hogwarts, and prove his “tricks” weren’t just coincidences. Knowing that he was something special, something “better” than his brother, and meant for something more than the life his parents had planned out for him was the happiest moment of his life. His patronus is a dhole, a highly social small canine.
______polyjuice potion,
given the option of any one in the entire world, Taygen would most likely choose to be a professor for a day. More specifically, the divination professor, simply because he would find it amusing. He would make sure it was on a day he could teach classes, though, and spend the day predicting the deaths of most of the students.
______mirror of erised,
he would see himself standing in front of an apothecary with both of his parents smiling proudly. More than anything he wants his parents to be proud of him, or simply believe that his magical education will amount to something. He would be especially happy if he was able to open his own apothecary and that be the reason his parents are proud.
______veritaserum,
in his first year, Taygen brewed a potion, and tested it on one of the cats wandering the castle, and it became severely ill, then died.

______reputation,
his parents are known for being a bit snooty and controlling. Taygen however is known for being lazy, and oblivious. Most of the school gossip goes right over his head, and he is completely unaware of the past affections he has received from witches. He uses magic for absolutely everything, and skirts though his schoolwork with the least amount of effort he could possibly put forth. His parents and their muggle friends think he is an unmotivated slob, but he’d like to think at school he is thought of as charismatic and laidback.
______personality,
Lazy; Taygen doesn’t like to put a lot of effort into anything, really. He puts just the right amount of effort into schoolwork so he passes, and spends most of his free time lazing about the common room. He uses magic for the most inane of tasks, getting a quill from across the room, charming his bags to be lighter, and larger so he doesn’t have to make trips back to the common room between classes. The only reason he really wishes to open an apothecary is that potion brewing comes naturally to him, so it appears to be the easiest magical career.
Thoughtless; He hasn’t put a lot of thought into his future, for someone who claims to want to own their own shop once they graduate, which is one short year away. But he also doesn’t do a lot of thinking before he speaks, which causes him a great deal of trouble in social situations. Taygen says what is on his mind, and sometimes that is not what people want to hear.
Optimistic; There is rarely a time when Taygen is seen brooding, or even frowning. He doesn’t let much of anything get him down, his parents distrust in his education, or the oncoming war. He waves off the pessimism (or realism) of his peers and mentors with a scoff and wave, and carries on his cheerful way.
Adventuresome; Exploring is one of Taygen’s favourite pastimes. He enjoys scouring the castle of shortcuts to classes and finding secluded spots among the grounds. He tends to wander off when his family goes on holidays and sometimes ends up getting himself into unnecessary danger, but as long as it was fun, Taygen sees no problem. While no true adventure has presented itself to Taygen, he is sure, given the opportunity, he would take it.

______brief history,
Taygen was born two years after his brother to two muggles with his future nicely laid out before him. Shortly after his birth, his mother decided to retire early to be a stay-at-home mother, raising Taygen and Silas while his father worked long hours. Silas was to study medicine, as his father and mother had, and Taygen was to be a lawyer, or engineer, whichever he took to, but something important. Unfortunately, it did not take long for Taygen to start showing signs of his laziness, constantly scolded by his father for his grades and his indifference toward school. It was only when he was eleven, and received his letter from Hogwarts (after showing his brother tricks for years), that his parents became truly disappointed. Having a wizard in the family was great, but they did not see how to study of magic would be practical. They thought, of course, that Taygen would be living in the muggle world, so what good would secret magic tricks do him? It became apparent immediately that the only thing that would come with ease for Taygen was potion brewing, and it was in his second year he decided that was where his career lie. Years into his Hogwarts education, Taygen is forced to constantly battle with his parents, explaining to them that he has no intentions of returning home after his seventh year, to get his high school education and begin attending a university like his brother.
