Sebastien never thought he belonged as a Ravenclaw. He was no more wise or witty than a tree stump. That's not to say he didn't enjoy his time as a Ravenclaw at Hogwarts, because he did, oh he did. He just never felt that sense of real belonging of being with people who share the same strong traits as he did, like most others do with their house. He was a smart boy, never really studied much, and was quite the witless wonder – something he was proving on this late Friday night at the door to the Ravenclaw common room. “Oh bugger,” Seb spat under his lip. This happened all too often to him, being locked out of the common room, because he couldn't figure out that stupid riddle. Why they couldn't just have a password, he would never understand. Luckily he has never had the misfortune of sitting outside the common room for hours on end, or even a whole night like he's heard complaints of from some of his fellow Ravenclaws. Hopefully that luck will last, tonight had already been bad enough. Sitting outside the door to their common room was not exactly how he had planned his evening to go. It all started sometime around dusk down by the Forbidden Forest. Him and his friends had started something of a tradition of sneaking off down there and spending their evening doing Merlin knows what. Tonight was supposed to be something different though, Sebastien had finally talked that ravishingseventh year Hufflepuff to join him for an adventurous night with him out there. Sebastien showed up early in hopes that it would make the waiting go faster. It didn't. The boy waited down where he told her to be for hours and hours until it had surely been midnight. Embarrassed, Seb made his way back up to the castle only to hear the soft giggling of a girl off in the trees. After further inspection Sebastien deducted it to be her, that beautiful girl he actually wanted to spend a nice night with and not just some quick one night fling. It hurt, admittedly and Sebastien wasn't fond of it, not one bit. “Lovely,” he said sternly, only a bit short of a shout at the pair. Sebastien dropped what he had been carrying in his hands dead on the spot. A bouquet of flowers stolen from Professor Longbottom's greenhouses. He was back in the castle and locked outside of the common room before he knew it. It took all of the restraint in the world to not just go and make feeble attempts to kick that blasted door down and make it let him in. In the back of his mind he knew that all the magic he could conjure up wouldn't appease the godforsaken doorknob that was locking him out at the moment. Resigning to just wait, rather impatiently to say the least, outside the door Sebastien plopped himself down near a wall and hoped that someone would come by and fast. tag: mina word count: 508 notes: bleh, hate starting Dx (also admins if you see this, the ravenclaw common room is actually behind a door and not a painting btw and it's not password based - they have to solve a riddle, js)

-------- mina had a reputation around hogwarts. she was no clever temptress like the rest of her housemates, nor a earnest and easy shag like those hufflepuffs, she could never dream of being cunning as a slytherin, nor as brave and bold as a gryffindor. what mina didn't understand was why being plain old nice and polite was never a reputation that was sought after anymore? she didn't mind that some people thought her to be a little gullible, a little too trusting and a little blind to people's flaws, but mina, how chose only to think in the positives preferred to think of it as not judging a book by it's cover, and having faith in others. it didn't mean she wasn't like any other sixteen year old girl, though. she had crushes on boys and she liked to flirt, for merlin's sake, flirting was in her blood. she had best friends and enemies of sorts, but she would never be the type to seek them out. mina was a diplomat, a mediator, a neutral party and lover of all. of course, that didn't neccessarily meant she had to love herself. in her own honest opinion, and mina never lied, she was plain, a little too curvy, a little too short, and altogether unimpressive. veela blood or no veela blood, there was nothing about her that could compare to her glorious mother, and she could never think of a day where she would ever had a boy gaze at her as adoringly as when her father looked at her mother. although, it was most likely a matter of taste.
-------- she pulled her robes around her tighter, as she ducked through the ravenclaw common room. it views were breathtaking by the lofty tower always seemed too cold for her liking. too much glass. she had snuck out of bed earlier, to sneak into the boys dorm. usually a stickler for the rules, it wasn't in mina's normal behaviour to be out of bed so late, let alone to be making her way to the boy's dorms, or even worse, to be venturing out of the common room, but when she had snuck into that familiar dorm room and found her brother's bed empty, worry struck her like a cold bucket of water. she was a worrier. it was in her nature, and she would always be concerned as to her brother's comings and goings, it was a triplet thing and something she could never shake. hood tucked over her long bed ruffled head of blonde locks, she ducked her gaze down as she ducked out the door of the common room to check for her rogue brother. it wasn't the first and probably wouldn't be the last time she found him sullen and waiting outside the common room door when he failed to answer the ravenclaw riddle. her worry softened immediately as she found him slumped against the opposite wall, and she gave him a warm smile, not saying a word as she ushered him back inside. "you always make me worry about you..." she scolded him, but her tone was far from angry. "one day you're going to come back from that forest without a limb and all i'll say is i told you so" she continued her good natured grumbling as she pulled him into and overstuffed chair and flicked her wand at the dying fire and it sparked to life. "are you freezing to death?" she asked, not waiting for an answer, as she sat down beside him and tucked into his side, glad to have him back safe and sound. "what were you doing out there this time anyway?"

Sebastien had been spacing out for quite some time. The moments had seemed to pass by slower and slower with the coming of each one. Nothing like what happened in the forest had ever happened to him before. Not like he had ever been turned down before, he has oh he has, just never by someone whom he had an actual interest in. Bloody hell, that wasn't even just a normal, 'No, I'm not interested.' That witch threw it right in his face. Sighing, he placed his face in his hands, “Luck just simply ran out I suppose.” How sad he was. He was starting to lose track of time when the all too familiar site of his sister stepping cooly through the common room door. Seb loved his sister something fierce, but she was, honestly, the last person he wanted to see right now. She was going to want to know where he was and why he was out so late and Merlin knows what else. A-ha, right on cue, there she goes. Entering the Ravenclaw common room was always something to be cherished. It felt like home, hell it was home for Sebastien and the rest of his house. Mina's fire was all but calling too him as he took a seat rather ungracefully in a velvet armchair near the flames. How should he even start with this? Seb swallowed his pride and began. “Well, you know that seventh year Hufflepuff I've had my eye on? Yeah, I was going to show her the forest tonight, and have dessert off in this one clearing I found.” Seb paused, looking up at his sister. She was always there for him, she deserved him to look her in the eye and not cower about this. “Turns out some other bloke got to her first, snogging up against a tree they were. Filthy, utterly filthy if you ask me.” Sebastien wasn't sure why this was getting him so down, she was just a girl. Girls come and go, he thought, reassuringly. After a few days he'd be back up on the field and prowling for a date to the Snow Ball. Blimey, so much to do, so much to do. He ended with a smirk at his sister, “Who knows who I might lose a limb to Mina, everyone just...” Seb looked at her square in the eye. “I guess everyone just wants a piece of me” [/blockquote] tag: mina word count: not that much ;x notes: it's ok i had fallen asleep last night anyways, sorry this took so long!
