______patronus,
Amina’s patronus, fittingly, is a cat -- a fierce fighter, ferociously independent (if affectionate when she wants to be) and small enough to eavesdrop easily. Ironically, to conjure it, Amina would use the memory of the first time she transformed into a cat: it gave her such a sense of invincibility and power to be able to do something that few adult wizards could do, and she only fifteen.
______polyjuice potion,
Amina would transform into Quela Radner, the lead singer of her favorite band. Amina is a terrible singer and knows it -- she confines her performances to the shower -- but would love to have Quela’s voice, fame and prestige, if only for an hour.
______mirror of erised,
Amina wants power; she wants to never be forgotten.
______veritaserum,
Amina keeps the fact that she is an Animagus hidden for the time being, knowing what others’ reactions would probably be. Otherwise, she is hiding her thoughts on what’s going on in the wider world, just to be on the safe side.
___special ability/abilities,
Animagus; transforms into a cat

______reputation,
Fellow students might say that Amina is a know-it-all -- she is highly intelligent and flaunts it -- but also that she is charming and daring. Unlike many students, Amina doesn’t associate exclusively with Slytherins, so she has friendly acquaintances at the very least in every Hogwarts house.
______personality,
Amina’s most prominent traits are her determination, intelligence, and charm. She is a born leader, but not in the flashy way that makes everyone follow her every gesture immediately. Instead, she leads from behind the scenes -- a word of advice here, a nudge in the right direction there. As a child, she was extremely shy, but she liked to people-watch. As a result, she is now talented at reading people and uses her skill to her advantage, as she manipulates those around her into the shapes she chooses. She charms teachers with a genuine enthusiasm for knowledge of all kinds, while fellow students see her friendliness and sense of adventure.
“Try anything once” might be an appropriate motto for Amina. Though not stupid, she is a daredevil and tends to get bored quickly. She has never been a “good girl,” nor would she want to be: she likes shaking things up when it gets too quiet. Amina has also never faced much real punishment for anything she’s done, which feeds a sense of invincibility. Sure, she’s lost a few points here and there, but so what? She’s good at charming her way out of unfortunate situations, and doesn’t worry overmuch about those who follow her into them and may get in trouble on her account.
Amina is determined to be the very best in everything, which led her to become an Animagus by the middle of her fifth year. One of her major regrets is that while she worked hard at it for a long time, she is not an adept enough flyer to make the Slytherin Quidditch team. Now she pretends that she cares much less about the sport than she actually does, to avoid touching on her embarrassment. Being rather vain, Amina gets angry easily when she feels that someone is not recognizing her value and will work hard to prove them wrong. She also pays a lot of attention to her appearance and how others see her to ensure that she has the makes the best possible impression.
Over the years, Amina’s interest in dark magic has grown. She is no Voldemort, no Grindelwald, not even a Death Eater at this point. She doesn’t want to mutilate herself in searching for it, nor does she particularly enjoy hurting others. However, she does enjoy power and sees clearly that one must break the rules to get it.

______brief history,
Amina was born the younger of two in a healthy wizarding family. Her childhood was not remarkable in any respect -- her parents were happy and comfortably middle-class. Zoria was Muggle-born, so Amina had some interaction with Muggles, in the form of her grandparents, as a child. When she thinks of Muggles, she thinks of her maternal grandparents, so haplessly ignorant in the face of anything remotely related to the wizarding world. She always thought it was pathetic, really, and never had much of a relationship with either of them. While Amina doesn’t quite have the stereotypical Slytherin contempt for Muggles, she has no love for them either.
Like every other young witch in Britain, Amina received her Hogwarts letter when she was eleven and was ecstatic. Having watched her older brother leave twice now, she was more than ready to follow him to the school. The real shock came when the sorting hat placed Amina in Slytherin. She came from a predominantly-Ravenclaw family, although her mother had been a Hufflepuff. No one had been a Slytherin in at least a generation, and Amina immediately felt a gulf open between herself and the rest of her family. She initially rebelled against the sorting hat’s decision, but soon began to make friends in spite of herself and realized that being a Slytherin did not make her a crazy murderous bastard. It’s taught her strength of mind, to stand up to her family’s silent disappointment, and she is now proud of her house.
By her second year, Amina had discovered Animagi and was intrigued. Think of the possibilities for disguise or even just mischief. She spent a significant portion of the next three years studying Animagi whenever she had the chance and finally figured out the technique just before Easter Break of her fifth year. She now uses the talent to explore the Hogwarts grounds after hours and eavesdrop on conversations whenever she feels is necessary -- it’s so easy to hide as a cat.
Now, Amina understands what is going on in the wider world outside of Hogwarts: the Death Eaters are on the rise once again. She is in Slytherin, after all, and observant. She has seen the changes in some of her classmates, and there are one or two whom she believes are Death Eaters, though she does not realize the extent of the movement. She herself is undecided about which side to take. Her own mother is Muggle-born, and Amina herself does not believe in unrestrained murder -- but there’s something enticing about the Death Eaters’ lawlessness nonetheless
